MAVERICK LYNES, OPERATIONS MANAGER

Maverick Lynes joins OHA Edmonton as the Operations Manager, bringing a strong background in leadership, communications, and hockey. A graduate of the University of Southern Maine, Maverick earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications, graduating Summa Cum Laude, with additional minors in Public Relations and Educational Studies. While at Southern Maine, he was a three-year captain of the Men’s Ice Hockey team, where he developed his leadership skills both on and off the ice.

Following his university career, Maverick transitioned into professional roles that combined his passion for hockey with organizational management. Most recently, he served as the Recreation Program Coordinator and Arena Supervisor at the Royal Glenora Club, where he planned and organized arena programs, managed the club’s recreation hockey league, oversaw budgets, and facilitated private on-ice training and skill development sessions.

In addition to his operational experience, Maverick has also established himself as a dedicated coach and mentor. He is currently the Head Coach of the KC Lancers U13 AAA program, where he designs and leads practices focused on individual development, team tactics, and video analysis, while also fostering team-building and positive culture. Through his own business, Lynes Hockey, he continues to provide specialized skill development and power skating training to athletes.

Maverick brings a determined work ethic, strong communication skills, and a passion for developing hockey players and programs alike. His combination of academic excellence, leadership experience, and practical hockey knowledge make him a valuable addition to the OHA Edmonton team.
