JASON HOLLAND, ASSISTANT COACH, U15

Jason Holland was born in Morinville, Alberta, where he developed his passion for hockey playing the majority of his minor hockey, before advancing to Midget AAA in St. Albert. His junior career took off with the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL, where he captured two Memorial Cup championships and earned a World Junior Gold Medal with Team Canada.

Jason was selected 38th overall by the New York Islanders in the 1994 NHL Draft and went on to enjoy a professional career that spanned over 16 years. During that time, he played with the New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings, and Buffalo Sabres, as well as in the American Hockey League and the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) in Germany. He also represented Germany on the international stage at the 2008 World Championships.

Following his playing career, Jason transitioned into coaching, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience from the game’s highest levels. He has spent the past seven years coaching in minor hockey, including the last two as head coach of the Canadian Athletic Club U13 AAA program.

Jason joins OHA Edmonton as an Assistant Coach with the U15 team, where his professional background, leadership, and dedication to player development will be a tremendous asset to the academy and its student-athletes.
